Formed in 1965, the DA covers the geographical area of
Northern Ireland, with the exception of County Down, and is the largest
of the three DAs which make up the Northern Ireland Region, the others
being County Down DA and Bangor DA

- Congratulations to our
Chairperson, Renee Gibson, on being
voted Newtownabbey's Senior Volunteer of
2008
- Renee is well known for
her unstinting voluntary work, in
particular her support of the hospice,
and her never ending work for the Martin
Trust, looking after the needs of the
many elderly folk being cared for by the
Trust. Well done Renee.
